+ What to bring?

We supply all the climbing equipment, but please bring the following.

  • Enclosed shoes (Volleys or similar hard edged shoes are ok for rockclimbing :) ). Or if you're hiring some of our shoes for $10 per person, bring some thin socks to wear in your shoes. Even if you are hiring shoes from us, you will still need to bring some shoes so you can walk to the cliff face...rock climbing shoes are not built for walking.
  • Active wear or snug clothing - no loose clothing that can be caught in equipment. Wear something that you don’t mind if it gets a little damaged. It’s outdoor adventure and sometimes it isn’t kind to nice clothes :)
  • Long hair must be tied back
  • Water bottle
  • Please note that long fingernails do make grabbing the rock a lot more challenging :)
  • If you are heading on a half day tour at Brooyar BRING SOMETHING TO EAT AND PLENTY OF WATER

+ Are Rock climbing shoes beneficial?

YES! you will find the climbing far more enjoyable if you have rock climbing shoes. You can bring your own or hire some from us upon checkout for $10 per person (it's an add on if you would like it). We don't mind if you choose to use other shoes (as described above in 'what to bring') however, remember this when you're struggling on the wall lol

+ Who can attend?

Individuals must be at least fifteen (15) years of age unless agreed to by our booking team.

Please note that due to insurance reasons, we do not recommend this activity for individuals who suffer from severe asthma, epilepsy, a cardio/respiratory disorder, hypertension, skeletal or joint or ligament problems.

Also, you and those in your care must not be under the effect of drugs (whether prescription or otherwise) or alcohol.

We will require a waiver signed that covers the above before you start :)

The Half Day Brooyar sessions are recommended for intermediate and experienced climbers (indoor or outdoor)

+ what if the weather is bad?

Rock climbing is challenging in the rain so we will generally postpone or cancel the tour if it is raining or has been raining significantly before the tour. You will have the option of holding credit and booking at a later date or a full refund.

+ what is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel your booking for any reason:

  • Seven (7) days or more before the tour is run - Full refund
  • One (1)to Six (6) days before the tour is run - 70% refund
  • 24 hours within the tour date - No refund

Substitutions - If you would like to replace one of your participants with someone else you know who is keen, that's not a problem.
