+ What time does the session start?

Sunday Sessions are 7.30am

Friday Sessions are 12pm. These sessions are intended to provide participnats with the opportunity to roll directly into the Advanced Navigation courses if participants choose to.

+ Where do the sessions meet?

Sessions are held at OAA Home Base 205 McCords Rd, Yandina Creek, Qld.

Easily accessible for all vehicles & only a short 15 minute drive from popular Coolum Beach, Eumundi and Yandina on the Sunshine Coast, Queenlsand.
Please note for navigation systems, Pryor Rd, is a NO THROUGH Rd and you aren't able to access McCords Rd via this road, don't let your navigation system tell you otherwise (unless you drive a monster truck).

+ How much do sessions cost?

Scheduled sessions

  • Our scheduled sessions are $50 per person

Discounts apply for group bookings of four or more people, send us a message for details :)

Private sessions

Private sessions and group bookings attract discounted rates. Price on application as we try to make every booking special so please let us know what you’re looking for and we will give you our best price. We can also work with our adventure partners to create events or team building just for you as well.

Contact us to arrange a private session!

+ What to bring?

We supply compasses, maps, pencils, erasers, coffee, tea and water for use in the morning, but please bring the following.

  • Enclosed shoes
  • Wear something comfortable and...'hikey' (Because it isn't all sitting down)
  • A jumper (because it can get suprisingly cold...but seriously, it can be very cold)
  • Wear something that you don’t mind if it gets a little damaged. It’s outdoor adventure and sometimes isn’t kind to clothes :)
  • Water bottle
  • Pen
  • Insect repellant
  • If you use hiking poles to hike, bring them just in case you need them to navigate as well.
  • Glasses if you need them
  • Medication if you need it (including epi pens)

+ Who can attend?

Individuals must be at least Fifteen (15) years of age unless otherwise organised with us because the content can be a little tricky.

You and those in your care must not be under the effect of drugs (whether prescription or otherwise) or alcohol.

+ How much physical activity is involved in the course?

We try to make the course as active as possible however some groups will require more class work than others so the amount does tend to vary. Our aim is to have at least 25% not in your seats but sometimes we can spend 50-75% in a formal training environment.

Please note that some of our activities may be uneven under foot or very wet under foot if it's been raining. Please advise your facilitator if there are certain activities that you can't undertake and never do anything if you think it may place you at risk.

+ Cancellations

  • Please note that Cancellations and re-schedules need to occur at least one week before the course date. Should it fall within the 7 day period, we will try to fill the vacancy however if we are unable, your enrolment fee will be forfeit.
  • We may need to cancel or postpone the activity in excessively wet or dangerous conditions due to safety.
